We went to the Luray Caverns. When we arrived we had to wait for our guide, so we looked in the gift shop. Finally, the guide was ready and we started down the stairs. The rooms in the cavern we saw were huge and they had tons of columns, stalagmites, and stalactites. There was one room called the Cathedral that had an organ with tiny hammers to tap the stalactites.
We saw Dream Lake and the water in it was so calm you could see a reflection of the stalactites and it looked like the lake was fathoms deep even though it wasn't. When the tour was over I was surprised it had been an hour. It seemed like only a few minutes. I had a great time in Virginia.
