The Crow and the Pitcher

Narrator: One scorching hot day, a crow that was half dying of thirst, flew down next to a pitcher of cold water.

Crow: I feel like I'm going to cry. There is water in the pitcher but my beak can't reach it. What will I do?

Narrator: The crow thought and thought.

Crow: I've got it! I'll drop pebbles into the pitcher and the water will rise so I can drink!

Narrator: So after one hundred pebbles, the crow got his long, refreshing drink. The moral of this fable is: keep on trying.
